The new year brings in a new you. Have you ever heard that before? Sure!, We all have. In fact, we all have made this new year's resolution at one point in our lives. It's actually one of the most popular resolutions everyone makes at least 20 times in their lifetime. Getting out of our busy routine and strategizing a new and improved schedule is easier said than done. Yes, I know what you must be thinking. This isn't for me or this won't last. Well, I have several things you can do
to improve your balance. I am going to walk you through 5 easy steps to jump-start your routine and create a smooth transition into a healthier lifestyle. Number 1: Clear your clutter. This is the most important step because having clutter in your personal space draws negative vibes and can make you feel uneasy and uncomfortable in places that should provide clarity and peace. Cleaning up your home or room will flush out the toxins in the space and can even feel more vibrant and bright. I don't know about you but I know having a clean home allows me to feel relaxed and peaceful. Number 2: meditate. Yes, I said meditation is extremely vital in getting into a new routine. It's also not as hard as you think. You can start with just a few minutes a day ( best in the morning) and gradually increase your time. As your morning alarm goes off, try lying still in your bed or sit up and place one hand on your belly and another on your chest. Focus on your breathing and feel each inhale and exhale as your belly goes in and out. Keep your mind as clear as you can. It's ok if you find your mind wondering, just re-focus and continue breathing. After about 10 minutes you'll notice your body relaxed and ready for the day. Number 3: Think positive thoughts. Your mind is a powerful tool! The thoughts you generate manifest your day. Make a list of things you want to accomplish and short-term goals you have. Supplying yourself with tangible goals will unleash your creative side. Number 4: set a plan into action. Here, you will convert your short-term goals into steps. Work on a daily to-do list. Write about 6 things your want to accomplish each day to promote productivity. Remember, these things must be simple and doable. Basic errands like laundry, a grocery run, a car wash, or walking the dog are simple things yet necessary to kick-start a routine. Number 5: express gratitude. Feeling grateful for the pleasures in life takes absolutely no time or effort. I practice gratitude every morning and every night. Everyone has something they can be grateful for. The best thing about showing gratitude is that you can do it from anywhere. Never forget to count your blessings!
